Meet Police Sharks Captain

Police Constable (PC) Apenisa Canasau is thankful for being given the opportunity to captain the Police Sharks Rugby League side against the Republic of Fiji Military Forces today during the FMF Foods Limited Ratu Sukuna Rugby League challenge.

The 33 year old who hails from Naisaumua Village in Verata, Tailevu said, "I was part of the winning team back in 2020 and we are thankful to have another opportunity to play the sport we love during the Sukuna Tournament".

His passion for Rugby League started at a young age from watching teams like the Brisbane Broncos, St George and Canberra Raiders.

Based at the Police Special Response Unit (PSRU), PC Canasau who had also represented Tailevu North College during his secondary school days is urging young people to utilize their talent, whatever it may be.

"If you have talent in sports, utilize it well and dream big." The Police Sharks takes on the Military Rugby League Team team at 11.00am.
