A Fijian Police officer serving with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) was selected to present at a Workshop for Prosecutors and Investigators last week.
ASP Pillay is based in BOR a state in South Sudan and was selected from their field office to facilitate with other Mission Headquarters Staff, where he spoke on the topic of Roles and Responsibilities of an Investigator.
ASP Pillay who was selected out of the UNPOL BOR field office, said it was a good experience and an opportunity to broaden his knowledge when dealing with different laws and different cultures.
He said the workshop consisted of County Commissioners, Directors of Public Prosecution, Attorney’s, Senior court officials, senior Police General’s and Majors.
ASP Pillay was deployed to South Sudan in April this year.
