Coast Guard for the one month training on Maritime Skills and Tactical Safety and Planning and Boarding Officer Courses for Police, Republic Of Fiji Navy and Fiji Revenue and Customs Service officers.

US Embassy Charge ‘d’ Affaires Tony Greubel said the workshop is a milestone in US and Fijian efforts towards a safer and Prosperous Pacific Region which over the years has also been expanding the Police Cooperation efforts.

Fiji Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho said while Policing in the Pacific is challenging because of the vast maritime area of coverage, such partnerships with key partners will assist efforts, and Fiji will extend an invitation to members of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police.
