Boarding Officer Course

Strengthening maritime security capabilities of law enforcement officers supported by the U.S. Embassy Suva Joint Interagency Task Force West - JIATF West U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and U.S. Coast Guard is underway at the Republic Of Fiji Navy Togalevu Training Base.

The Boarding Officer Course is aimed at enhancing the capacity and capability of officers to apply law and international laws in determining jurisdiction as a boarding officer and whether special circumstances exist.

Officers from the WATERPOL Unit, the Police Special Response Unit and the Republic of Fiji Navy are attending the training.
