Easter Thanksgiving Service

The Fiji Police Force held its Easter Thanksgiving Service this morning at the Centenary Methodist Church.

Also present was the Minister for Defence, National Security and Policing, Honrable Inia Seruiratu.

Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho wished all members of the Fiji Police Force and their families serving in Fiji and around the globe a blessed Easter and reminded them that the meaning of Easter is based on Humility, Love and Service.

“This Easter season provides an excellent opportunity for reflection as we re-evaluate the value of our lives as frontline responders.

We have come out strongly due to the united approach we demonstrated at the height of the pandemic.”

The Commissioner described the organization’s journey through Covid-19, as a classic example of unity triumphing during extreme situation.

“The role we play as custodians of law in Nation Building demands integrity, sacrifice and a united approach.

It is our service to others.

"When we diligently serve others at our expense, we are serving God.

This is the great story behind Easter and the Cross of Calvary.”

The Commissioner of Police on behalf of his family and the Fiji Police Force wishes everyone a Blessed Easter.
