Graduates of the Inspectors Qualifying Course were told to adopt a change of mindset and to understand that qualifications come with responsibilities.
Seventy seven Police Officers this morning completed their Inspector Qualifying course and their efforts were acknowledged by the Commissioner of Police, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho.
“Some of you that are here thinking that this piece of paper or certificate will get you through promotions, if you have that thinking, then you need to change your mindset.
I want outputs,” said Commissioner Qiliho.
The Commissioner reminded participants that they are middle managers at their respective stations and they should use their knowledge to address some of the pending issues at their workplace.
“Use your knowledge to improve work outputs".
Inspector (W/IP) Fawini Kado of Police Headquarters scooped the top honors and was awarded the Dux of the class.
IP Vimal Pillay scooped the second prize for scoring the second highest mark and IP Ashnil Lal came third.
Both officers are from the Western Division Police Headquarters.
