MOU SIGNED


A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by the Fiji Police Force and the Kalabo Investments operating as Shop N Save today maximizing the use of modern technology with the intent of enhancing safety, security and prosperity.

The agreement was signed by the Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho and Executive Director for Kalabo Investment Mr Nisheel Deo, whereby CCTV cameras outside Shop N Save Supermarkets will be linked up to the Police Coordination Command and Control Center as well as at the Divisional Police Command Centers.

Mr Deo said Police can access live footage from cameras located outside Shop N Save supermarkets.

“We are a proud locally owned business and we strive to ensure the safety of our staff and shoppers.

One of the ways we have done this is through the significant investments in the installation of cameras around the premises,” said Mr Deo.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Qiliho said the signing of the MOU will assist in having more eyes on the ground through the use of technology.

The Police Commissioner says this new step is one of many the organization is taking and confirms talks are underway with other business stakeholders who are also interested in venturing into similar partnerships.

Brigadier General Qiliho saying that following the New Zealand and Australian Government's support in the upgrading of FPF Command Centers, the organization would now be able to expand their technological reach through such partnerships with Kalabo Investment.
