Funeral of Late Constable Saimone Mataomi

The Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu led a delegation of officers to bid their final farewell to the late Police Constable Saimone Mataomi who was called to eternal rest on the 27th of November.

The late officer joined the institution on the 23rd November 1989 and had served in various Stations and Units in the Southern, Central and Northern Divisions.

He left the institution for a while and rejoined in 2000 whereby he saw out the remaining years of service in the Nasinu and Valelevu area of operations.

One month shy of his retirement, the late PC Mataomi was fondly remembered by comrades for the way he would help guide and advise younger officers during his years of service.

The late PC Mataomi is survived by his wife and seven children.

May he rest in eternal peace.
