two in custody for social media content

A 26- year-old self employed man of Kulukulu, Sigatoka and a 40-year-old self-employed woman of Nadi are currently in Police custody in relation to their social media content.

It is alleged that the Sigatoka man was posting intimate visual recording and trafficking obscene publication.

He had shared victim’s nude photo through a social media app, and had attempted to obtain money from her.

The 40-year-old Nadi woman is in custody for the allegation of causing harm by posting electronic communication. 

 Suspect was live on social media indecently abusing the victim and her daughter.  

The two are currently being investigated by the Fiji Police Force Cybercrime Unit.
