MOU signing with TFL


A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between the Fiji Police Force and Telecom Fiji Ltd in a bid to improve current Police Communication capabilities and training.

The signing was held between the Acting Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu and Telecom Fiji Ltd's General Manager Mr. Samuela Vadei at Fiji Police Headquarters this morning.

The MOU will assist in enhancing FPF's communication needs.

Mr. Vadei said technology plays a big role in the effective operations of any institution.

"The turnover of technology is occurring at a rapid pace and is a challenge for all leaders to catch up and remain relevant and ready and not be left behind".

He assured the Fiji Police Force of their support through training opportunities.

"We had recently opened our new fully equipped Training Center where officers can receive training for better-coordinated responses".

The Acting Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu acknowledged TFL's ongoing support which has now ventured into the new area of training.

Echoing sentiments by Mr. Vadei, A/CP Tudravu said the training of Communication officers to be able to address modern technological challenges will boost operational efficiency considering the importance of communication.
