TWO CHARGED FOR AGGRAVATED ROBBERY

Two men alleged to have been involved in an aggravated robbery case whereby they threatened and robbed a female student in Samabula on Tuesday have been charged.

Both accused aged 21 and 18 have been charged with one count of aggravated robbery each and will be produced at the Suva Magistrate Court tomorrow.

The two allegedly assaulted the victim whilst on her way home and stole assorted items including a mobile phone and cash from her before fleeing in a car.

Information received from eyewitnesses led to their arrest and they were taken into custody at the Samabula Police Station. We acknowledge the support of those who assisted in providing investigators information which resulted in the quick arrest.
