Fiji Police Basketball Team revived

After a lapse of several years the Fiji Police Force Basketball team is back competing in local competitions.

With the likes of former national rep, Fiji Basketball National Women’s U-19 Coach and 2020 Batch 01/20 Commissioner’s Book Prize Winner WPC Dale Sauqaqa and Fiji Netball rep Lydia Panapasa the team has started their campaign in the local business house competition.

Sports is an effective pro-active community policing tool and under the Duavata Community Policing initiative, the Fiji Police Force has sporting teams that engage in local sporting competitions where they are able to effectively interact with youths and community groups.

WPC Sauqaqa says their next aim is to join the Raiwaqa Basketball Association to engage with other teams and youth groups.
