Count yourselves lucky to have employment because the way in is hard but the doors are wide open for a quick exit if you don't uphold the intergrity of the policing profession.
These were the words of the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu as he opened the Basic Recruits Batch 2/20 Training this morning.
The 176 Police officers were members of the Special Constabulary while some had been absorbed to the Regular Force but had never undergone the Basic Recruitment Training.
The course is in line with the institutional Reform and Restrucute Process currently underway.
The Acting Commissioner says Police Officers are constantly scrutinized by the public for their actions when they break the laws they swore to uphold.
A/CP Tudravu called on the officers to be thankful that they have employment and a source of livelihood for their families.
He added there were many wanting to join the organization adding he would not hesitate to replace any officer who fails to uphold the integrity of policing.
