INTERNAL INVESTIGATION DIRECTED

The Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has directed an internal affairs investigation be carried out with regards to the death of an aggravated robbery suspect in Nadi on Monday.

This follows the finding of the post mortem examination conducted today whereby the findings ruled out initial claims and reports that his death was allegedly linked to the victim jumping from a double story building.

The Acting Commissioner has assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the victims’ death and those found responsible will be charged and produced before a court of law.
