Community Policing through Sports

The Fiji Police Blue and White teams were reminded of their roles as Community Policing officers.

The message was stressed by the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu to both teams and the Management as the Police White team presented their 2nd runner up trophy from the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s Tournament.

The Acting Commissioner while commending the team's efforts said for future tournaments the team will be required to conduct community outreach programs as part of the Duavata Community Policing initiatives.

"Don't forget that you are first and foremost Police officers and you have to also play your part and the best way to do that is to utilise your talents on the field of rugby by working with the community especially before a major tournament".

The team will be preparing for the next local 7s tournament scheduled to be held in Savausavu.
