6K boost for PSRU

The Fiji Police Special Response Unit Blue Diamond sevens rugby team received a $6000 boost for the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s from Armour Enterprise.

Company Director Mr. Sharum Aili handed over the sponsorship package to the team which included jerseys and training equipment and announced the partnership to continue for the next three (3) years.

The sponsorship package was received by the Police Special Response Unit’s Commanding Officer Senior Superintendent of Police Livai Driu who highlighted the importance of policing Fiji through sports initiative under Duavata Community Policing as they were able to engage youths making a positive impact on police operations,” he said.

The team will also be playing with the theme "STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SUICIDE”.

Mr. Ali said his company was honored to support the Police Special Response Unit in its sevens campaign.

“It is very important for private organizations to support the work of the Fiji Police Force, and this is a small token for appreciation to the boys in blue”.

He also took time to acknowledge the efforts put in by the Fiji Police Force during this COVID – 19 pandemic.
