Nauru Police personnel on attachment


The Fiji Police Force continues to open its doors to neighbouring Pacific Police institutions in a bid to strengthen policing efforts in the region.

Two members of the Nauru Police Force will be on attachment with the Fiji Police Force as they are in the country to support their spouses who are pursuing further studies.

Inspector Brown Capelle and Civilian Kempson Detenamo moved to Fiji with their families, and a request was made to Fiji's Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho to allow the two Nauru Police personnel the chance to work with their Fijian comrades during their stay in Fiji.

IP Capelle who has 14years experience will be working with various Operations Unit while Mr Detenamo will be on attachment with Administration at Headquarters.

The Fiji Police has and continues to assist Pacific island law enforcement agencies in training opportunities and people to people exchange programs in a bid to strengthen Pacific police cooperation in tackling crime together as a region.

The Fiji Police and Nauru Police currently have a Memorandum of Agreement which was extended for another 3 year period last year.
