25 year old man charged for the death of his 3 year old

A 25-year old man was charged with causing the alleged death of his 3-year old child at their residence in Lomolomo in Lautoka last week.

The initial report received at the Lautoka Police Station, was that the child had sustained serious injuries as a result of a fall at their residence.

Further investigation by the Criminal Investigations Department revealed that the child’s death was allegedly caused by injuries inflicted by the accused.

He was charged with one count of Murder and one count of assault causing actual bodily harm, and produced at the Lautoka Magistrates Court on Monday 29th September, 2025.

The accused was remanded in custody, with his case transferred to the Lautoka High Court, to be called again on the 13th of October 2025.
