Participants are meeting Pacific Community for Law Enforcement Cooperation (PCLEC) Seconded Police officers (SPO) to practice pitching their potential projects, towards advancing gender empowerment within the region.
Facts about SPO's; SPOs serve as part of the(PCLEC) Delivery Coordination Team. SPOs are officers from PICP member countries.
SPOs are essential to the PCLEC's mission of implementing Pacific-based solutions to Pacific law enforcement challenges. SPOs lead the coordination and delivery of PCLEC activities and support. SPOs ensure that PCLEC outcomes are Pacific-based and address the unique challenges faced by the region's police force.
Supported by the Australian Federal Police and coordinated through the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police, PCLEC SPO's, contribute extensively to finding Pacific based solutions to Pacific challenges, underpinned by the principle of 'By the Pacific for the Pacific', funded through PCLEC Small Grants..
