Fiji Police UNMISS Contingent Commander SSP Aseri Nakibo in her welcoming remarks, extended her immense gratitude for the opportunity for Fiji Police officers to serve in South Sudan since 2011.

“There is no better example of proud UNMISS achievements to reflect on with the likes of former Police Commissioner UNMISS Unaisi Vuniwaqa, who from an Individual Police Officer, became the Deputy Police Commissioner and Police Commissioner in UNMISS from 2018 to 2022. Thus, there remains a high level of expectations on the Fiji Police Contingent to perform to the best of their abilities.”

She congratulated contingent members for their contribution to the implementation of the UNMISS Mandate in their various field offices.

SSP Nakibo also acknowledged the support of their families and Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu, who sent his congratulatory message, stating it was a proud occasion for the Fiji Police family and the nation.
