A 40 year old man was taken into police custody for an alleged case of unlawful possession of illicit drugs following a raid in Wailea today.
A team consisting of officers from the Southern Division’s Serious and Organised Crime and Intelligence Department and the Fiji Detector Dog Unit (FDDU) conducted the joint raid, whereby dried branches and leaves believed to be marijuana were seized.
The suspect was escorted to the Nabua Police Station where he is being questioned.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu has acknowledged public support in the sharing of information, leading to the arrest and seizures.
