A 38-year old man has been charged by the Fiji Police Cyber ?task? force for allegedly dishonestly obtaining more than $27,000?.
The investigations revealed that between August 2021 to November 2024, the accused had allegedly posted several advertisements on Facebook along with different mobile numbers for building materials on sale.
After he failed to deliver the goods after receiving payment, eight reports were lodged by the victims at the Totogo, Valelevu and Nausori Police Stations.
The accused has since been charged with 12 counts of Obtaining Financial Advantage by Deception and will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court today.
