STATEMENT

The Fiji Police Force would like to clarify that there were nil reports of a stabbing at Albert Park last night.

Police officers were deployed to the concert venue from early evening until the event ended, and up until this morning, there has been no report of a stabbing during the event.

It is noted that a social media post was circulated of the alleged incident, and police officers at the venue were tasked to verify the claims, and have since confirmed that there was no stabbing and no incident which required police intervention.

Members of the public are requested to report matters directly to Police so it can be investigated, as such claims can create unnecessary panic and worry.
