Thirty one officers have successfully completed a Crime Investigators Course aimed at enhancing their investigative skills and knowledge.
The workshop which ran from 24th June to the 5th of July 2024, brought together the 31 officers from the five Policing Division who deal sexual offence cases.
During the two week course, speakers from the Medical Services Pacific, Fiji Women Crisis Center (FWCC) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) were invited to be part of the training.
Speakers also included officers from the Forensic Scienc Services, Prosecutions, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and counterparts the New Zealand Police.
Through out the two weeks participants were engaged in rigorous training discussions and practical sessions designed to enhance their skills and knowledge.
