Officers complete IOMSC program


Three officers have completed the International Management of Serious Crime (IMOSC) program at the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC) in Semarang, Indonesia, from 12 - 31 May, 2024.

Inspector Simione Tuivanuavou, Inspector Osea Tunidau and Inspector Asipeli Waqa concluded the three week program which included an opportunity to attend as a Visiting fellow.

The Jakarta Centre of Law Enforcement Corporation is an international law enforcement training institution established by the Governments of Indonesia and Australia in 2004, focusing on managing major complex investigations, particularly multilateral cooperation to target transnational crime.

The IMOSC Program is one of the Australian Institute of Police Managements leading training courses, aimed at the sharing of skills and techniques needed for dealing with serious crime, providing networking opportunities for the sharing of information and collaboration.

The Fiji Police Force acknowledges with sincere appreciation His Excellency Mr Amenatave Yauvoli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Fiji to the Republic of Indonesia, Ambassador to Thailand, High Commissioner to Singapore, High Commissioner to Malaysia and Permanent Representative of Fiji to UNESCAP in Bangkok and staff for visiting the three officers during their training tenure.

Ambassador Yauvoli acknowledged the Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew and senior management for continually upholding and supporting the people to people bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Indonesia, further strengthening its implementation through such prestigious training.
