50th Anniversary for Navesi Primary


The Fiji Police Congratulates  Navesi Primary School located in Udu Village, Totoya in Lau for celebrating its 50th Anniversary.

The Fiji Police Force’s Assistant Commissioner of Police Administration (ACP/A) Meli Sateki attended the celebrations on behalf of the Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew, and is accompanied by a team of community policing officers from the Southern Division and Police Mobile Force.

ACP/A Sateki whilst delivering his official address, called for community support in providing students an environment free of crime where they are able to explore the endless educational opportunities available today.

Speaking also as a former student of Navesi Primary School, ACP/A Sateki said he hopes to inspire students to understand that there are no barriers to ones’ education if they are focused and determined.

He stressed that there are many former students to draw inspiration from as they have proven that the size of their school or locality, had no barrier in achieving their goals and aspirations.

ACP Sateki said during their visit, they will be working with the respective village heads to set up Crime Prevention Committees.

The team consists of officers from the Southern Division Community Policing, WATERPOL and Police Mobile Force.
