MEET Police Constable Shivneel Chand based at the Korotasere Community Post.

The 23-year-old officer originally from Naividamu in Seaqaqa joined the Fiji Police in 2019 after completing his secondary school education at DAV College.

PC Chand who had previously served at the Savusavu Police Station and the Saqani Community Post, now finds himself serving at the Korotasere Police Post with five other officers, looking after more than 4,500 people living within 20 villages and 40 settlements.

PC Chand says the most valuable asset assisting his work, is his determination to serve to the best of his ability. “Empathy.

I have come across some who have been difficult to deal with, and the best response, is to be calm and empathise with their situations so we can resolve issues together".
