TLC BADGING AND INDUCTION

Speaking at the Leadership Badging and Induction of The Learning Centre (TLC) last week, the Fiji Police Force Psychologist, Mr Nicholas Fuata, said leaders lead others by being good role models.

“You can lead others by being a good example in school, you can do this by observing the school rules, being punctual with your duties, be dressed appropriately at all times, have a positive behavior towards your teachers and fellow students, and be able to motive and encourage students,” Mr Fuata said.

TLC is a private school located at Matanitobua St, Suva.

It has a predominantly Australian based school curriculum using materials from Australian Schools, and also utilizes learning materials and resources from the Fiji Curriculum for those in Year 6 to 8, in preparation for high school transition for those that will join the Fiji public school system.

Students of the school elect their head boy and head girl, and speaking to the newly elected and also appointed Leaders of the over 150 student body, in the presence of their teachers, parents, guardians and supporters, the Police Psychologist highlighted 4 important components of Leardership.

“We all can be leaders, leadership is not only a position it is a choice, a leader is a good role model, and all leaders have gifts and talents like superpowers that add value to their role,” Mr Fuata said.

“Today marks a new chapter in your life, the badge you will be given is a badge of honor Go and serve and make your make your parents and teachers proud,” he added.
