Meet your officers

Meet WPC Vasemaca Marama (right) and WSC Adi Vika Naibena (left) members of the Fiji Police Women's ???? team participating at the Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s tournament.

WPC Marama hails from Natuvu, Wailevu, Cakaudrove with 3-years of service, while SC Naibena hails from Nakida Village, Naitarisi.

Through the #duavatacommunitypolicing through sports platform, the two officers aim to empower young girls and women, while at the same time create awareness about issues impacting the safety and security of women and children.

WPC Marama pursued her love of rugby when she was a Form 5 student of Uluivalili College and has never looked back. Her message to your girls, "Never give up, when you are thinking you can't, don't give up just keep trying".

WSC Nabena shares a similar story about how she started her rugby.

"I started playing rugby when i was in FNU during an Intercampers competition and was encouraged by Fijiana Player Jiowana Sautu".

The former Labasa Sangam (SKM) College student has the following message for young girls, "Never look down on yourself, we are all special".
