Police Men’s Volleyball team present trophy

The Fiji Police Men’s Volleyball team presented the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre 16 days of Activism Volleyball Tournament trophy to the Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho this morning.

The head of the Force said the win was a great way to prepare for the 2021 FMF Foods Limited Ratu Sukuna Volleyball Tournament tomorrow and acknowledged the hard work put in by the team and management in securing the win.

Brigadier General Qiliho said their opponents from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces will also be out to take top honours.

“Everyone prays for a win and prepares their own way to secure that win, it’s how you prepare for it that matters”.

“Whatever the outcome is tomorrow, I am happy that your participation in local tournaments has helped you live a healthy active lifestyle and that in my view is very important in our line of work”.

The Commissioner of Police said the main drive behind the decision to hold this year’s Tournament was to give members of both disciplined forces a chance to wind down and enjoy a day of great sports with their families and supporters.

He wished the team well and urged them to enjoy themselves as they take on their brothers from the RFMF at the Multi-purpose Sports Complex in Suva.

Gates open at 8am.
