Police requesting assistance in identifying a victim of an alleged suicide case

Police are requesting assistance in identifying a victim of an alleged suicide case in Suva yesterday morning. An early commuter who used the shortcut track next to Ellery Street in Suva made the discovery and alerted two security officers of Energy Fiji Limited.

The victim is an I-taukei male believed to be aged between 20 to 35yrs and was only wearing ¾ trousers.

Initial information gathered indicates the victim is believed to be a former St Giles patient which investigators are in the process of verifying.

However we will need the next of kin to come forward and identify the victim before a post mortem can be conducted.
