Breach of COVID-19 restrictions

Nine people were arrested in the last 24hours for Health related restrictions and breach of curfew.

Six arrest were made in the Eastern Division whereby five of the arrests were for drinking kava at a grog shop in Baulevu.

The sixth arrest involved a 17 year old student who was arrested for walking along Wainunu Road, Wainibuku during curfew hours.

Three people were arrested in the Southern Division for being drunk and were walking along Wailea Street, Raiwaqa during curfew hours.

We are urging people to continue to adhere to the health restrictions in place and the Fiji Police will continue to monitor and enforce these restrictions.
