The Southern Division recorded the most number of cases with 21 reports while 3 cases were recorded in the Eastern Division.

Seven (7) of the 21 arrests in the Southern Division were for breach of curfew and 14 for social gatherings.

Four people were arrested at Jittu Estate as they were drunk during curfew hours and were also involved in a brawl.

Two others were also arrested at Jittu Estate for breach of curfew restrictions.

An 18 year old was charged for exiting the containment area in Qauia, Lami without proper clearance.

Eight people were arrested for drinking kava at Reba Circle, while three youths were arrested for gambling at Laqere Settlement.

From the Eastern Division an 18 year old student was arrested for playing touch rugby at Davuilevu while others fled and two were arrested at Vanuadina Village for drinking liquor.

It’s sad to note that we continue to record breaches of health restrictions on a daily basis whereby majority are occurring within the containment areas.

Police will continue to ensure that health restrictions are complied with and we urge everyone to support ongoing efforts for the sake of your family and loved ones.
