Zoom Meeting

Commitment towards combating organized crime in the Pacific must continue amidst the Pandemic.

This has been highlighted by the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu who is also the Chairman for the Pacific Community for Law Enforcement Cooperation during the Transnational Serious & Organized Crime Taskforce (TSOC) meeting conducted via zoom this afternoon.

The meeting has roped in members of the TCOC including Fiji Police, Tonga Police New Zealand Police as well as the Australian Federal Police and is an important one as discussions over combatting a broad range of transnational crimes, including drug trafficking, cybercrime, and child exploitation in the Pacific were deliberated.

The joint task force was established in 2019 whereby it provides enhanced collaboration between member countries on the conduct of multijurisdictional investigation and cooperation in combating transnational organized crimes.
