Fiji Police Clearance Update

FIJI POLICE FORCE PUBLIC NOTICE ON LODGEMENT, PAYMENT AND PROCESSING OF POLICE CLEARANCE APPLICATIONS w.e.f. 8 JUNE, 2021.

The Fiji Police Force wishes to advise on changes in provision of Police Clearance Services in light of the COVID 19 restrictions.

We are now accepting ONLY URGENT Police Clearance applications from Fiji and abroad and only direct deposits.

Lodgement of Applications

1. The mode of lodging applications is strictly through the email address: fjpolclearance@gmail.com.

Payment for Applications

2. Payments of fees only in form of direct deposits or bank transfers are to be made directly to Fiji Government Consolidated Fund Account (CFA) through the following:

Bank: Australia and New Zealand Bank Account number: 1292446 Department: Police (2000) Swift Code: ANZBFJFX BSB Code: 010890 Narration: FJPOLCLEARANCE Fiji Police Force Tax Identification Number (TIN): 90-00032-0-6 No cheque payments will be accepted.

Guidelines for Overseas Applicants - applicants residing out of Fiji at the time of application.

3. For overseas applicants all documents including the Bio-data page of passport and fingerprints (for immigration purposes only) are to be scanned and submitted through the email address: fjpolclearance@gmail.com.

4. Fingerprints are required for all applications for immigration purposes for the following countries: USA, NZ, UK (for British Army/ Navy Applications), and Canada.

Guidelines for Local Applicants - applicants residing within Fiji at the time of application.

5. All local applications for employment purposes within Fiji are to be lodged through the above email address.

Applications for local employment do not require fingerprints, however, the other documents required are to be scanned and emailed.

6. Documents needed are: a. Birth Certificate

b. Fiji Police Clearance Form (Downloadable from the Fiji Police Website https://www.police.gov.fj/form)

c. Fingerprints are required for Special Constable Applications only*.

7. People residing in Fiji who wish to apply for overseas immigration purposes, fingerprints are to be submitted for the following countries: USA, NZ, UK (for British Army/ Navy Applications), and Canada with other necessary documents.

8. People residing in Fiji who wish to apply for overseas employment purposes, are required to submit the following with their application:

a. Birth Certificate

b. Fiji Police Clearance Form (Downloadable from the Fiji Police Website https://www.police.gov.fj/forms). c. Bio-data page of passport

9. For all applications lodged in Fiji that require fingerprints, you may visit your nearest Police Station for fingerprints to be taken.

(Please note: Fingerprints are taken by Police Officers at the Police Stations in compliance with strict COVID 19 safety protocols in place).

10. The respective Police Clearance Support Officers at the respective Stations will secure all the original documents and send them to OC/CRO as soon as the movement restrictions are uplifted for verification. Processing of Applications

11. Applications will ONLY be processed once the required fees is paid and a copy of the receipt is received from the FPF Accounts Office or from the applicant.

12. Processing of 24 hours police clearance which is required within is now suspended until further notice.

13. Since reconciliation with Consolidated Fund Account (CFA) will take time during the prevailing circumstances, applicants are requested to email the scanned/stamped bank deposit slip to fjpolclearance@gmail.com for confirmation of payment or other forms of evidence that funds (fees) has been deposited into the CFA.

Whilst we endure to ensure continuity in the provision of police clearance services, applicants may experience delays due to the COVID 19 related restrictions.
