Breach of COVID-19 restrictions


Thirty-six cases were recorded over the last 24-hours for breaching Curfew Orders and the Health Restrictions.

The Western Division recorded eighteen cases including eight people who were all arrested at the Malake village area for loitering during curfew hours, two men were arrested at Adam’s place in Lautoka for a similar case while a 19-year-old man was also found loitering along Thompson crescent in Lautoka during curfew hours.

Four men were arrested for intoxicated near the old Ba club, two men were found loitering during curfew hours along Natokowaqa in Lautoka while a 42-year-old man was caught driving without a PASS.

The Seven cases recorded in the Eastern Division involved five people who were all found drunk at a settlement near Nailega village in Tailevu while two men in their 40’s were both arrested during curfew hours loitering at the Nakasi and the Manoca area.

The Southern Division recorded eleven cases whereby six were caught intoxicated at the Sakoca area in Tacirua, three men were arrested for a similar case in Raiwaqa while two men in their 40’s were found loitering in Newtown.
