The Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu and senior officers visited officers manning checkpoints within the Suva-Nausori lockdown areas to extend their appreciation and Sunday blessings as special COVID operations continued today.
It was also an opportunity for Force Chaplain Rev. Waisale Tikowale to conduct devotion with the officers on a day that would have been spent in places of worship for most but were now manning checkpoints in support of national efforts to contain the virus.
A/CP Tudravu acknowledged the officers dedication and loyalty reiterating the mission of supporting the Ministry of Health's efforts during the lockdown period.
The Acting Commissioner also acknowledged the support of policing families.
He has reiterated his call for all Fijians to adhere to the restrictions announced by the Ministry of Health as the virus can only be beaten if we all work together.
