Drugs Operation


The continuation of the drug raid operation in Tunuloa, Cakaudrove with the assistance of drone capability has led to the arrests of three farmers who are alleged to have been involved in drugs.

The Drugs Operation Team had seized more than 2000 green plants believed to be illicit drugs from three different farms in Loa and Koroivonu village in Tunuloa yesterday.

All the accused were arrested including a 45-year-old farmer of Koroivonu following the seizure of more than One Thousand four hundred green plants believed to be marijuana from his farm.

The team also uprooted more than 80 green plants believed to marijuana from a farm owned by a man in his 30’s while the 43-year-old farmer has had more than one thousand two hundred green plants believed to be marijuana uprooted from his farm.

All are in custody waiting for the drug analysis result.

Investigations are ongoing.
