Please adhere to restrictions

Members of the public are advised to refrain from non–essential movement within their containment areas.

Restrictions have been issued for the sake of protecting more people from contracting the virus.

Non-essential movement therefore must cease immediately, and we urge all Fijians to assist national efforts headed by the Ministry of Health and refrain from moving around unnecessarily within the containment areas other than for the purposes announced by the Permanent Secretary for Health.

Remember when people move, the virus also moves.

Our last resort is to arrest anyone, and we believe that common sense and good judgment will prevail as people are grasping the seriousness of what we are currently facing as a nation.

We need everyone to support the ongoing efforts, and the quicker we cooperate with Health officials, the better.

For passes, we apologize for the delays and inconvenience caused over the past 24hours for those of you who have been wanting to get passes for essential businesses and movement within containment zones.

I assure everyone that we are doing our best to rectify the issues that have been brought to our attention about our phone lines and email responses.

Please bear with us as we have been inundated with calls and email requests but we will try our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
