Raiwasa 7's team visit Police hq

The Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu today hosted an afternoon tea for the Raiwasa Sevens Team and management.

The event was an opportunity for both sides to get together, know each other and discuss a way forward.

The head of the organization had reminded the Raiwasa team that he had addressed the incident with the Police White team and has expressed his disappointment.

"I told them that we are Police Officers, we get verbally insulted, bullied and at times we are being punched.

But we have to humbly accept that and keep calm. We should uphold the rule of law."

The team was also requested to join the officers in spreading awareness in the fight against drugs, elimination of violence, and other crimes.

"You are a well-known team so when you are in Vanua Levu or on the main island, use your status to create awareness in schools and villages and your outreach will make a much-needed impact ".

The Acting Commissioner commended the team for accepting his invitation.
