Requesting for information

Members of the public are requested to call their nearest Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 919 if they have any information regarding the theft of more than half a million dollars worth of pearls.

Savusavu Police are investigating the theft of a mockup of pearls from the J.Hunter Pearls office which allegedly occurred between October last year and late January 2021.

A mockup of pearls contains up to 45 pearls and five were discovered missing.

The alleged theft was reported when someone enquired about buying some and when an employee went to retrieve them from the safe and discovered them missing.

A report was lodged at the Savusavu Police Station and investigations are ongoing.
