Drugs Arrest


Another successful joint operation by the Fiji Police's Narcotics Bureau and the Fiji Detector Dog Unit resulted in the arrest of a 43-year-old fisherman yesterday afternoon after he was allegedly found with white crystals believed to be methamphetamine.

The suspect was intercepted in Sigatoka by the joint team following information gathered over a period of time of his alleged involvement in the transportation of the illicit substances.

The suspect remains in custody while the seized substances has been sent for further analysis.

Investigations continue.
