The newly appointed ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Mr. Naipote Katonitabua paid a courtesy visit to the Fiji Police Force Headquarters this week.

Mr.Katonitabua was briefed during an orientation meeting with the Fiji Police Force Director for International Relations Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ulaiasi Ravula.

The newly appointed ambassador learned about the organization's relationship with international partners, especially for the Middle East.

The ambassador-designate for UAE was briefed on current Fiji Police UN Peacekeeping efforts in Africa and our intentions for UN FPU deployment in the near future.

Discussions also focused on expected increased labour movement between Fiji and UAE noting the varying skills we have in Fiji that can be potentially marketed.

SSP Ravula said it’s a privileged meeting with the new Ambassador to UAE who will soon leave to take up his new posting and also wished him well on behalf of the Commissioner of Police and members of the organization.
