Courtesy Call


Chinese Embassy Counsellor Wang Xuguang paid a courtesy call to the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu this week at the Police Headquarters’ in Laucala Beach.

Mr. Xuguang expressed gratitude to the Force for its support and assistance in ensuring the safety of the Chinese Embassy premises and staff members had also mentioned that the Chinese Embassy will maintained friendly relations with the organization.

He said the Chinese Embassy has maintained friendly relations with FPF for many years, hoping that the two sides will continue further exchanges and expand cooperation in the future.

“The relationship between the Fiji Police Force and China is very friendly.

For a long time, China has provided substantial support and assistance to Fiji especially in the field of professional police training which has benefited FPF”.

The organization wishes to continue maintaining contact with the Chinese Embassy and actively implement exchanges and cooperation between Fiji and China in the field of police affairs.

The Acting Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu in acknowledging the Chinese Embassy Counsellor’s visit said he was humbled by the visit and vowed to continue the work of strengthening ties through the Ministry of Public Security.

The Fiji Police has benefited greatly since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Security Cooperation between the institution and China’s Ministry of Public Security realized in 2011.
