Fiji Band in the North

The Fiji Police Band is in the Northern Division performing around the Tropical Cyclone Yasa affected areas as part of our Operations Yadrayadravi through community engagement.

The Band are performing in town centers, villages, hospitals including the Old People’s home in Labasa, as well as the Lomani Au home in Savusavu, and were well received by members of the community who appreciated their visit.

The team also paid a surprise visit to the Government Quarters at Vatunibale, Labasa which wasn’t in their schedule.

This was after the children from the Government quarters had made their way down through a muddy bush track to see the band performing.

Feeling sorry for their efforts, the Fiji Police Band decided to perform right at their doorsteps.

The team arrived in the North last Monday and is due to return end of the week.
