50th Anniversary of Women Officers

The Fiji Police Force Acting Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu challenged the Fiji Women Police to rise to another level.

Mr. Tudravu made the challenge to the Women Officers during their 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at the Fiji Police Academy last night.

The Acting Commissioner said the organization is now heading towards a direction where it cannot rely on its men all the time.

“I want you all to rise to the expectations required and create your own legacy within the organizations,” said Mr. Tudravu.

He urged the Senior Women Officers to be a good role model to the younger women officers who will be looking up to them for guidance.

Mr. Tudravu has acknowledged the contributions Women Police has made to the organizations and has asked on what the next 50 years will bring or who will become the first Fiji Police Force Women Commissioner.

The Acting Commissioner has also acknowledged the contributions of the retired Women Officers who have paved the way for all current Women within the organization.

Also part of the celebration last night were Inspector Sue Douglas and Inspector Paris Razos  from the New Zealand Police.
