Courtesy Call


The People's Republic of China's Police Liaison Officer, Police Supervisor Officer Lu Lingzhen paid a courtesy call on Fiji's Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho this morning.

Police Supervisor Officer Lu Lingzhen, is the first Police Liaison Officer from the Chinese Ministry of Public Security to be based in Fiji.

Police Supervisor Lu said his main focus was to further strengthen police cooperation efforts between the Fiji Police Force and the Ministry of Public Security.

He said establishing networks with China’s Provincial Level Administrative Regions who had their own law enforcement experiences, would be explored, as it would enhance cooperation efforts.

The Commissioner of Police said the existing partnership with China's Ministry of Public Security has always been active in as far as the enhancement of capacity building initiatives and people to people exchange programs were concerned.

Brigadier General Qiliho said he looks forward to conducting another visit to China as his visits have always been a learning experience resulting in positive changes within the organisation.

Police Supervisor Lu who has more than 20-years of policing experience, says he is looking forward to working with his Fijian comrades.
