63 years old charged for scam

The Fiji Police Force (FPF) Mpaisa Taskforce Team has arrested and charged a 63 year-old Billiard Shop Caretaker of Ba for Obtaining Financial advantage.

It is believed that on the 04th July 2024, the accused dishonestly obtained $250.00 from a member of a public through the mpaisa platform.

Police investigation revealed that he received $250.00 from an mpaisa account. Upon receiving the funds he withdrew the money which he was not eligible to receive.

The matter was then reported to Valelevu Police Station The accused is in Police custody and will appear at Ba Magistrate court today.
