Superintendent of Police (SP) Josua Neilesu is on the verge of completing the 48th International Senior Police Officer’s Command Course (Middle Level) Series 1/2024 at the Royal Malaysia Police College in Kuala Lumpur.
The course which began on the 15th of July will end on the 2nd of August, and a pre-requisite of the course was for SP Neilesu to deliver a presentation on the “Regulatory Frameworks for Artificial Intelligence (AI): The Leadership Perspective”.
The Fiji Police Force acknowledges the support of ASEANAPOL for the training and education opportunities provided to the organization.
The FPF currently holds observer status and has since enjoyed opportunities such as the ISPOCC training as an extension of the partnerships forged between ASEANAPOL member countries and observer nations.
Fiji’s Acting Commissioner Juki Fong Chew is an alumni of the Royal Malaysia College having attended the same course in 2012. The Course emphasises the importance of multilateral co-operation, and is aimed at enhancing the participants’ leadership skills and broaden their scope of global policing through lectures, workshops and study tours.
The course is aimed at strengthening the officer’s management and leadership skill sets, and helps with the establishment of long-term working partnerships with overseas counterparts.
