CP congratulates the newly appointed AFP Commissioner.


The Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Australian Federal Police Commissioner, Krissy Barrett.

Commissioner Tudravu through a formal letter, conveyed the organisation's congratulatory message to Commissioner Barrett, stating that the Fiji Police Force is looking forward to strengthening and expanding existing police to police cooperation arrangements under the Solesolevaki Memorandum of Understanding, and Vuvale Partnership between the Fiji and Australian Governments.

Commissioner Tudravu has also acknowledged the distinguished service of the former Commissioner Reece Kershaw, and his commitment towards assisting law enforcement in Fiji and the region.

He said Fiji values the long-standing partnership with the AFP, noting the importance of collaboration in tackling transnational crimes in the region.

Commissioner Tudravu said he is eager to meet Commissioner Barrett, to discuss ways of advancing law cooperation efforts between Fiji and regional law enforcement, noting the rapidly changing criminal environment.
